Abstract
Lacrimispora xylanolytica sy1 was isolated from the vagina of a native Korean cattle, Hanwoo (Bos taurus coreanae). This strain is primarily involved in the degradation of xylan. The genome of strain sy1 consisted of a circular chromosome (4,516,221 bp) with a GC content of 42.32%. The complete genome contained 4,163 genes, including genomic information on hydrolase enzymes such as xylanase and lactate dehydrogenase. Therefore, it can be used as a feed additive because it has the potential to increase digestion and improve the health of cattle consuming xylan-rich roughage.
